So are we still considering a DIY forum, I suggest we also try to get people to photo document construction projects , How do you seems to be such a common question

That's a good idea, Doug! DIY pix are a huge help.

I think the current method of posting on GRD board then archiving to specific archives works well, if we keep up on archiving

Completely redo “The Reference Place"

Do not use the word “Archive" in the title description.

Create a LPS, SPS, and a Clam section please.

Just my opinion, everyone has one

graffyn-

Just wondering why it needs a complete redo and exactly what would make it easier to use....

One reason for the word archive is to seperate the threads from the links.

I'll get with my old ancient archiver about the sections you've requested .

Thanks-
Brooke

Hmmm, I love this site but I still do most of my posting at RC, shhh.

I would prefer to do all my posting at this site. It is just that the forums under "the reference Place" looks congested and there are very few recent posts there.

If there were seperate areas for clams, sps, lps, equip, DIY etc..
then people could direct their questions easier and get faster responces.

If what is wanted is to keep the link section then have a links forum area away from the archieves.

Given a choice to ask a question about my Acro, cap etc... would I post at a site with a SPS section or a site with a coral/invert section. Where would I get the most responces? My acro is not an invert so ???

Love the site, it has come along ways and I can't wait till the day that it is the only site I need to go to

I would have to agree with Graffyn. I also do most of my posting at RC. They have a very nice set-up which is easy to understand. Access to what interests you at the moment is quick and easy. I would prefer a similar set-up here. As a newbie I do not often browse the "Archives" for up-to date information.

The main reason we have stayed away from multiple forums is traffic. We don't have as much traffic as RC and having multiple forums with less traffic is not a good option for us. The search feature works well as does doing a quick scan of the threads from the past few days in general reef discussion. Our archives contain some of the better threads and help answer frequently asked questions. Many of the threads are great references.

We'll continue to consider new forums as traffic dictates.

Thanks for the feedback-
Brooke

How about a section for Coral Farmers like the one on RC. But this one can also divide the farmers by region. Imagine being able to buy from another hobbyist locally and hopefully have an option to pick up locally to reduce shipping stress.

WOW Reefcam, that is an excellent idea, I hope TRT will consider it.
