site downtime

It is possible, that on the last hour, some of you have problems getting the site, due to high load on our server. We have opened another server, and we're trying to figure what caused such major load. There are no expected problems in the near future.

may have been a search bot thing. you may know more about this stuff than i do, but i belong to another board that had a similar thing happen.... we had a thread running about the economy and investments, a search bot thingie (spider?) kind of latched on a number of keywords in that thread (it showed up as an insane number of "views" to that thread, like 200,000), it looked like 200,000 unregistered guests had been viewing that thread all at once...

anyway, very weird!
