i was not trying to suggest switching browsers. i was trying to see if this is problem with certain browsers or specific to a persons machine. we were trying to get as many data points as possible, so we can hopefully have a better idea on where to look to resolve the problem. problems like this are very problematic to fix.

i do not have a problem, so it is difficult to figure out a problem when the machine you are working on behaves fine.

we are working hard on figuring out the problem. sorry for taking so long.

This is currently an announcement in all the forums, but I'm going to post it here as well for posterity sake.

Thanks, Geoff! Hard to figure why this keeps happening - Thanks for doing what you can!

Thanks, Greg, too! I checked those links but it doesn't seem to apply to this problem, as far as I can tell. I do have Norton and also Spybot, but have had both for quite a while - long before this current cookie problem came up. I'll keep trying stuff, too, to see if I can make it work.

If you haven't cleared your cookies using both methods described above then you should. Trust me.

Thanks, Greg!! I did try both, no luck though. Curiously, the autologin seems to work fine, if I log back in on the same day. It's only when I come back to the forum after more than a day that it doesn't work? I don't know if that's useful to know or not. Is there a way I can find out what the elapse time is for the forum cookies? Maybe I could edit it?

I guess the oddest thing is that I never had this problem until about a week or so ago. If nobody can figure out a solution, I can just change my password to something I can remember - that way I won't have to go look it up every time.
