OT: spyware on reef tank?


ok, i had to get some spyware killing software the other night beacuse of mass pop ups, got rid of it all, but everytime i come to thereeftank.com, it adds 2 more, EVERYTIME. and only on this site, doesnt do it with any other ones i goto. does this happen to anyone else? or is it just me?

Didn't realize there were popups, I don't use crappy browsers like internet explorer. I use Mozilla Firefox. I don't get popups. ever... but, I just viewed it in IE and I didn't get any popups.. So perhaps you have spyware installed on your box dude. Get something like mcafee internet security 6 or ad-aware from lavasoftusa.com, there are many ad-ware removing softwares. I have a feeling the one you have may be detecting something like hook.dll or other such spyware files that are resident in memory and randomly pop up windows.

I don't know, just a theory.

i have spyware killer on my pc, 2 different programs, and i check it every day, but after i come to the reeftank i get 2 more spyware programs that install on my system, every time. guess its just me.

What are they called? I'll bet that they are the wysiwyg editor scripts...

To confirm the above you could try turning off the wsysiwyg editor in your options and see if that helps.

Doesn't happen to me. I use Adsgone popup blocker. The best one out there IMO.
