New Banner Ad takes forever to load

This new banner ad that was added to the header of the forums takes forever to load...which of course reduces the enjoyment of these forums.

You mean the ads that have nothing to do with TRT? Grrrr...Very annoying!

Why not?!?! They cover fish tanks... Right?

I would think that TRT could limit the adds to fish related ones. I mean, that's what I came to this site for, fish stuff. lol I'd be more likely to click on a add by BRS or other fish store then progressive.

Not to mention you need to wait for the banner to expand before trying to select a topic as you may open the wrong one.

oh really? I don't have that problem on mine, it just leaves the gap, then loads the ad a few seconds later.

The page loads, and eventually the ad location widens and the ad eventually loads in FF.

I don't have a problem with the banner ads, they load pretty quickly for me. I have a problem with pop up stuff in the mobile version ("You've won an Amazon gift card!" or "You're computer is infected!"). I have settings to block pop ups on but it still happens, but ONLY on TRT.

I had to rewrite a post 4 times because a spammy pop up kept coming up when I was almost done. I just saw another member had the same issue trying to post from his phone. I have no issues with the regular version on the iPad, just the mobile one on my phone.
