how do I contact a member?

I recently registered at this site and would like to contact a member regarding a post I saw. The post suggested a PM to the member but I don't seem to have the privileges necessary to do that. Any suggestions?

You might have to have a certain number of posts before sending a pm. Did you click on the users name?

I beleive that you must have a minimum of 10 posts to use the PM system. this is to avoid spamming.

No, any registered user can use PM. I suspect you weren't logged in or hadn't responded to the email activation yet when you tried. There's no reason why your account would not be able to do so.

How are you trying to access the profile? Through a post or the users browsing this forum area? I needed so many posts before I could access anything from the users browsing forum. But I have no clue how greg has things set up
