good way of hosting images longterm?

I've a question. I use photobucket for hosting images I use on various threads here and elsewhere, but for the long term, is there a better way of hosting pictures? I hate looking back at old threads and seeing all the red x's throughout the posts. As long as I leave them in my photobucket account, I assume they are going to remain, but what happens if photobucket goes down or my account freezes or they force me to pay and I refuse? What other options to I have?

I recommend storing your photos here. Look at the top right of the header and there is a link to our photo gallery.

I was looking around, and I didnt see the rules/regulations for uploading. What are the restrictions in terms of number of images and size of images?

It depends on your activity on the forum. The more you participate the more space you get.

Well another question; do you have to register to see pictures hosted by thereeftank? Sometimes when I'm not logged in they don't display (whereas photobucket never gives me that problem), and I like to send friends/family to my tank build to see what's happening and they are likely not to register.

No, registration has never been necessary to see the images.

You can use www.turtlefox.com. I think you get 100megs of free space and can put up to 60 pics per photoalbum.

tashier- the problem is that if you ever move a pic or turtlefox changes settings than the pics that were hosted there will no longer show up here. crvz is looking for a way to make sure the pics he posts will always be there so future readers can get just as much out of the thread as we do now.
