I'm aware this doesn't solve the issue but I'm curious if this works for you too.

I'm subscribed to this thread so you can post here.

Subscribe to 30 threads.
Open your Control Panel.
Read all the threads.
Close your browser.
Wait 15 minutes.
Re-opon your browser.
Go to your Control Panel.
Now, go back through those 30 threads and see how many of them that showed up as having a new post actually have a new post. Many won't. Especially if you check it late at night when not many people are posting.
Log out? That is a joke in and of itself. Yes, it clears the control panel. When I opened TRT a few minutes ago, went to the control panel, checked it. There were roughly 50 threads (I didn't count them) that I am subscribed to that had new posts. I logged out, logged back in. Yeah, it cleared the CP out. Now, I get to try to find those 50 threads again to see if someone had something to say that I might be interested in.
You can do that same experiment using the "New Posts" button at the top of the page.
Clearing cookies won't solve the problem, it only makes it worse.
Logging out won't solve the problem, it only makes it worse.
