changing the title of existing threads
How hard would it be to get the words "build thread" or something like that added to the title of this thread? http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f6...ca-133808.html
It kinda evolved into a build thread but doesn't reflect that in the title. I was thinking I may be able to get more input and suggestions on the build portion of the thread if it was titled as a build thread.
Thanks
Darrell

Very easy... for a MOD who has editing privileges in GRD. I think doug1 or dobejazz (kelli) can knock that out for you.

yes, there's much reason to limit the amount of editing that users can do after a certain period of time... you'd be surprised the type of issues that can arise.

Thats a good question Holmes. I made a thread about 2 weeks ago, on my refugium. It was one I wanted to use as an update thread to document the fuge's progress. Problem is i gave it a goofy title, cuz well, i was just in a goofy mood. It seems there isnt much amusement when it comes to refugiums though. Certainly less in my silly Fugetorium title. So in an effort to be taken as seriously as i can, being a refugium lover, Id also like to change that title. Can ya make it happen, keepers of the reef? Just call it Cuttle's 55gal Fuge if its not too much trouble. Or 55 gal fuge build, whatever ya think works best here.
Thanks in advance, it been two weeks and life has expoloded all over the joint. Need some advice on a couple things and updating the thread with a few pics would be quite helpful Just dont want to put "Fugetorium" atop the threads list again lol.

Here's another one, hope this isnt too off topic, but how come we made the time limit in which you can edit a post so short? And is there a way around this?

The time limit is built into the software upgrade, we left it there because in the past ther have been issues with people going back and editing posts later on, say after they gained more experience and realized how silly they looked originally, or on occasion when there has been tension between members, people were posting things then going back and editing bad things.

Ah....I guess the use I see most common that would be useful is #1 on group meetings when we're trying to keep a count, and #2 on sales threads where it would be nice to just be able to edit your original sale list instead of having to copy it over when something is sold.
I understand the reasoning behind it though. Probly not worth the time of changing things over to do that.
