Avitars

How does one create/use their own avitar? Can it be a gif or jpg pic? I did a search on them and didn't see anything on how to do this.

Any ideas?

thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris;

I've always used jpg for avatars but I believe gifs will work as well as you can use gifs in the sig lines. The file has to be fairly small; I can't remember the size off of the top of my head but when you go to "edit options" and click on custom avatar it will give you the max size. I use pics that I have downloaded to my hard drive. Just click the browse button on the custom avatar screen until you find the one you want.

I hope that helps a little,

Alice

btw the one you're using isnt a jpeg

but you're right

jpeg or gif, they are requirements as to size and how large the file may be.

You need to have 100 posts and/or 30 days or something before you can have a custom avatar I think.
