I spent this afternoon creating myself an Excel spreadsheet to help me manage my fish tanks, and I thought it might be useful to share it with others. The main thing it does is provide graphs to help keep track of water quality compared to water changes.
An added functionality that I built into it is a 'mixing' calculator. For example, let say that the salinity of my fish tank had increased beyond the desired level. I could input the salinity of my freshwater, press the calculate button, and the spreadsheet will tell me what volumes of water I need to mix together. Granted the actual mixing will be rather imprecise, but this will give me the optimum numbers.
Warning though, this spreadsheet uses macros, so you will have to enable excel to allow them to be run. Also, the input cells are colored tourquise; the other cells should be left alone.
Really, I'm just an engineer who enjoys making spreadsheets, but I figured others might find this convenient. If the admins felt this was something others could make use of, I would be willing to provide support if other people have problems using it.
Anyway: enjoy.
