About the classifieds Ads
I know a long while back I talked to Jeff and mentioned that when the item is sold it is a drag to look and find out that it is sold. So I was wondering if We can move the sold items in to a archives section to get them out of the way and make searching for item a bit more easy. Just an idea, This way we can keep the numbers right.

I think it would work out and the numbers will remain the same and everyone would have a better time looking, I also like to see some auctions.

I will have to bring it up to greg, If he misses this post, I don't think he will , I know when I was pm's jeff at that time it didn't come to me . I don't know what made me think of it tonight. I think it will work , I hope so, I quit looking at the adds for that reason, I would see something and then it was sold .

Yup Vince ,,,good idea,,,not sure if i had posted a thread/asked about your question on mod forum or Admin forum, pertaining to you question at that time,,,,
Some sort of a way to somehow make a sold item more noticable (as being sold) or moving it to a "sold stuff" location is a good idea,,,hopefully something can be worked out,,,
Be careful tho, you talk about this too loud, and you'll find yerself in charge of it LOL! j/k

Mebbe some sort of computer generated type of overlay ,on the sold stuff in question, thinking along the lines of something that would be seen easily ,at a glance, so members don't have to waste time reading the sold stuff,,,dunno if that is possible, or easy to do,,,,

Your idea is certainly easier than trying to convince everyone to mark their stuff as sold.

Yup, somehow ,one or two people doing that job, looks like it would be easier to get done, than the selling posters here,,,but we'd have to rely on posters letting someone know here ,when stuff is sold,,,otherwise anything we do is not 100%.sounds like a headache anyway you look at it LOL
Just had a idea on this ,,,,what about having a time limit on stuff for sale? A week, 2 weeks, etc,,,,and then the thread is marked "over" or "sold/ended",,,not gonna take care of stuff that gets sold within a day , or short period,,,but at least having a cut-off length of time, might make for a easier navagation of the forum,,,
Watta ya all think?

I agree that if there is a way to automate it that would be best. Take human error out of the equation.
