Question

pvc cement

Hello everyone,

I am doing some pvc work on my refugium and cpr bakpak. Does anyone know if pvc cement is reef safe? I need to glue some stuff together and not sure what would be the best thing to use.

Thanks,

I find your comment a little funny. Let cure 24 hours then rinse. Ya know people don't do that with there water they drink when doing plumbing but for the fish tank its a must.

It is funny but It is better to be safe than sorry, most glue times is 2 hours then ready to go. I did do this a few times with no problems.

In general, both pvc cement and pvc primer are inert to aquatic life. But, always better safe than sorry.
