Question

Is it lead ??


A standing Therma Temp thermometer by penn plax just got sucked into my motor through the sump little balls went everywhere in the tank anyone know if it is lead?
Im trying to get it all out but it has been in there about 3 days .

Been there done that.....twice :P Don't worry they are not lead they are made of some soft metal used to weight the thermometer down. I have had two break in my tank and not had problem. I would remove the pump and rinse out any that may still be in there so as to not cause any problems with your pump.

Swept the bottom of tank.I do a 50 % water change friday ( still curing rock ) my nitrates are at 2 Im just glad this happened now before the sand was in I should have listeened to warnings ive heard I just didnt want to spend the extra $ . Im curious to see what if anything pen plax has to say I eed them Ill update everyone when & if they return my mail..

It took me 5 hrs just for such a small task between removing all the rock im wore out..
