Cycling rock

Hi guys I got a order of Fuji rock in that was supposed to be shipped 2 day air well it came in late took 3 days and boy does it stink found a bunch of dead crabs in the box,I stuck it in a rubbermaid garbage can with an air pump yesterday and today
the water is all gray and whoee it smells what should I do ?
Water change ? anything? thanks Casey

Casey, yah a good rinsing and a water change will help. Mine went thru kinda the same thing and hard cycled .The really nasty rotten stuff might need to be scrubbed and blasted off with a powerhead.

Here's a bit of trivia for anyone interested. If you ship anything marked livestock airport-to-airport and your shipment arrives late, you can refuse the shipment, which means the airline has to not only eat the shipping bill, but pay you for the goods. (That's what that shipping inusrance is for!) Then since they don't have any reason to keep it, they'll usually give it to you.

Well here it is guys the stinky stuff this is 45lbs of Fuji
I have gotten it into a new batch of saltwater now and tossed out that black stinky water stunk my whole backyard up
over all the rock dont look to bad what do you think? Alice I have called where I got it from 3 times havent heard from them yet. Casey
