White slug indentification please?

I found several of these white "slug looking thing" in my tank today. Here is a picture. There appears to be no head, but a large mouth that pulls this critter along. The tail is forked. The largest one is about 3/8" of an inch.

That's just great. Find something new and it's not a good thing. Guess I'll do some research and see what it takes to get rid of these buggers. Thanks guys!!

Fortunately I just purchased a six line wrasse this weekend. Maybe I had some subconscious premonition that I was going to have these in my tank

I did a search on these critters, read quite a number of the posts and vacuuming them seems to be the most reliable method. Fortunately, they don't seem to be harmful, just a nuisance critter.

They don't like high water flow as well, perhaps it's time to purchase that eductor I've been thinking about!

There's also a new product out called "Flatworm exit" I believe it's by Salifert. "My Reef" has used it, you might try PMing him and see what he says about it. As far as I know it worked for him.

Natural enemies of flatworms like 6 line wrasses are hit and miss. Just like peps for aptasia, some will eat them and some won't. Good luck.
