i counted about dozen slugs in my tank.... but this i haven't seen until today. i am ever amazed with what i find in my tank! but i think its time a i got a mandarinfish, or a wrasse, beacuse when i turned my lights on, there was a horde of these tiny critters scappering about..... and ducking into the liverock. i think i need something to control these bugs... any sluggestions?

Hi D6,

Dendronotid nudibranchs
Prolly Dendronotus sp., the little vampires...

Their pet hobby is sucking soft coral tissue dry.
That's their only hobby.
Outside of that is merely respiration and sex.

Did I mention their pet hobby?

HEY HORGE

D6, you bought any leather corals lately? They love to eat them.

Get it out! I had one that looked just like that and it led to the demise of my yellow finger leather and then went to work on my toadstool before I figured out what it was and what it was up to!! As far as all the bugs go they are an important part of the reef chain in your tank, they are the micro clean up crew! You don't need to control them, let them do their thing! I would can the slug though!

Wow! I had one of those beauties early on with this addiction, and Alice told me to flat out get rid of it!

I do as told.....well at least that time
