vwovw's reef tank
I just traded building a deck for a new reef tank. I got a all glass 90 gallon reef ready tank and stand. A t-5 8 bulb with moon lights. A ecosytem filter.

Live Rock is the key
Looks like a godd start. The key will be to add live rock, it will give other fish that you add a place to hid and retreat reducing their stress. A stress free tank is a healthly tank.
Are you going to give your clowns an anemone?

You gotta wait around a year they say (ID say at least 6 months) before you get an anemone for those clowns. Personally, in a 90g tank, I think youd need about 75-90 lbs of live rock. But add it one big chunk at a time since you already have fish in there. IF you went rock first, you coulda added it all at once, then the fish. The lights look like you should be able to keep a decent amount of coral in there. Id think about upgrading the filtration to a skimmer though, JMO.
It looks like a great start though, if you have any questions these guys here are great at helping out.

And also, since youre using sand, Id make it a little deeper too, I personally would go with either no sand (like I am) or with 3"-4" of sand

also i have kids. thats why we got the clowns so soon.
on my last salt water reef set up i had a skimmer. I was told this new ecosystem has a filter and mud so i don't need a skimmer? But if i need one i'll get one.

Im not familiar with the filter and mud to be honest. If they only have small pieces, and you dont like small pieces, then go online lol. Some people like the small rubble. I dont, personally. Check out some of our sponsors for some deals on rock. If yo uwere closer I have about 100 lbs for sale =\

I have an ecostyle sump knock off with the miracle mud in my 95. The tank is doing great but I did add a skimmer a few weeks ago, just because I got a great deal on it. I also had a very light bio-load. Since I added the skimmer I added more fish. I don't know how the tank would fare with the fish I now have and no skimmer. My tank was set up 10-2005
