TheMissingLynk Reef Specs
Ok, seems like a good place to start.
55 gallon standard tank.
5 bags of live-sand (60# of Aragalive Reef Sand, 40# of Aragonite Reef Sand).
About 25 lbs of live-rock, medium and small pieces. (Pohnpei Live Rock from Jack's).
Started tank with 3 "Yellowtail Blue Damselfish", and 3 "Ocellaris Clownfish".
Have 1 " Coral Banded Shrimp", 1 "Brittle Sea Star", about 2 dozen various hermit crabs (little reef-cleaners), a dozen snails (little to medium reef-cleaners), 1 " Sally Lightfoot Crab" (< 1" in size), a shaving brush plant, and some Red Sea Algae.
Have added a few live rocks and sand from friends' established reefs, and this "green plant" that I got a few clumps of, and tucked away into rock crevices.
Filter is a "Rena Philstar" canister, with a single input, and the output is a long bar with 8 holes in it, that is aimed at the surface to get a nice ripple effect on the top of the tank.
Lighting is 2 24" double-fixtures, with 2 Marine-Glo bulbs (1 on each side), and a Power-Glo bulb on the other side, and a _______ on the other.
Trying to keep this updated, to have full accounting of tank (and feel free to use if you like it): http://themissinglynk.com/downloads/...ull%20Docs.xls

Welcome to TRT!
Do some research on the canister filter here. Keep on top of it or they can become a problem.
I'm not familiar with the fixture you have. Is it PC lighting?
Very nice spreadsheet!

Unsure... unsure...
I am working on pics... my GF has a nice digital camera, but I can't get close-ups, and most of the "issues" I am having require close-ups.
For my issues: Look here
Anyways, more info to come!

Oops
Okay, I'm subscribing to my own thread, or I wouldn't have said anything. Don't throw heavy objects at me.

Complicated Questions...
Okay, so I definitely need to upgrade my lighting. I have a feeling it is "barely adequate" for my current needs. I am not even sure of the specifics on it.
I bought 2 "double-bulb" 24-inch fixtures (so, I have four 18" bulbs on my tank). The bulbs are the "Marine-Glo", "Power-Glo" (x2), and one other. I am not even sure of the wattage.
But, in my "box of crap", I just received a lighting power supply... I think powers up to 400watts, so maybe I should go shopping for lighting.

I like the Excel workup you did about your tank, looks good.
I see you are from Dayton, you should head to Columbus and Check out ReefSystems Coral Farm if you have not already.

Thanks - I keep updating it as much as possible. I am actually short a few sheets - need to work on that.
Like I said earlier, anyone interested, steal it and change it to your stuff. I think it would be fun to see some others (and have readily available the spec sheets of others. )
