Well the tank is almost up. Right now it is warming up and waiting for the final salinity adjustment. The cycle should be starting soon and is still lightless. The tank is a 125 all-glass that was cut at one end to accomadate an external overflow. There is a 20 gallon refuge and a 29 gallon sump. Return is provided by a Blueline HD-40x and flow is supplemented by 2 Seio 1100's. In the sump is an ASM G-3 which currently only has the recirc mod. A mesh mod for the Sedra pump and a gate valve mod are still waiting for installation. Lighting should be purchased in the next few months. I have no corals right now but, do have a few fish (purple tang, gold striped marron clown, and a damsel) that are in a condo (rubbermaid) for the time being. Heat is generated from a Finnex 500 watt
titanium heater.
This tank is FAR from done but it is moving along nicely. Still need to enclose the stand and buy lighting.
Thats it as far as equipment goes. I am going with a FSB (dont like BB look) with starboard under it. Right now I only have abour 100lbs of liverock. More will be bought this weekend (hopefully), about 80-120lbs.
In the fuge is 2-3 inches of sand and should be full of
macro algae in the next few weeks thanks to a buddie who needs to prune his.
As of right now lighting plans consist of 3 250 watt MH. I am still undecided on the supplements. I am thinking of either PC or VHO but haven't come up with a configuration that I like.
Guess thats all I can add for now.
Later
