Reeftopia- 65,20,10,3.5g reefs and 135g FO


here are specs for my tanks:

10g propagation tank:
frags of: frogspawn, colt, green sinularia, lobophytum and mushrooms.

135 FO:
fish: volitan lion, snowflake moray, niger trigger, porcupine puffer, star and stripes puffer.
others: 1 huge hermit crab, 3 turbo snails, 1 tiger cowrie.


65g reef:
this tank was set up in june 1998. 65g (36X18X24H) with a 15g RDP gravity-feed refugium. 1" sandbed and 70lbs of liverock. NO skimmer.
lighting: 400W MH (iwasaki-6500K) with 4-30W NO actinics. 75W incandescent flood lamp for the refugium.
corals: mushrooms(purple tonga, blue, red, orange, gree speckle, green hairy, bubble, ricordea, green stripe), xenia (pink, brown and pompoms), anthelia, clove polyps, zooanthid polyps, goldcrown toadstool, yellow umbrella, green sinularia, green lobophytum, coltcoral, gree star polyps, frogspawn, bubble, pearl, octobubble, candycane, doughnut, short-tentacle plate, pipe organ, montipora, stylophora, porites, x'mas tree worms, acroporas (4 types), birdnest.
others: maxima clam, crocea clam, gorgonians.
fish: purple tang, bangaii cardinal, tomato clown, mandarin dragonette, tomato clown.
clean-up crew: red/blue leg hermits, (turbo, astrea, marguerita, cerith, nassarius) snails, serpent star, brittle star, blue linkia star, tiger-tail cuke.
additives: b-ionic (25ml/day), DT's phytoplankton.

10g propagation tank:
frags of: frogspawn, colt, green sinularia, lobophytum and mushrooms.

135 FO:
fish: volitan lion, snowflake moray, niger trigger, porcupine puffer, star and stripes puffer.
others: 1 huge hermit crab, 3 turbo snails, 1 tiger cowrie.

here are the specs for my girlfriend's tanks:

3.5 gallon nanoreef:
her 3.5 nanoreef was set up late november 1999. it contains about 2lbs of live rock and has 1" of black sand. an aquaclear mini is used for circulation.
lighting: 36W 5000K PC from Home Depot and 2-13W blue PC's from AH supple.
corals: 5 stalks of xenia elongata, 2 frags of colt corals, seamat, mushrooms (blue, red and green), bubble coral and a devil's hand.
fish: tiny bicolor blenny.

20 gallon reef:
this tank was set up for her birthday in april of 1999. it's a standard 20g tall tank with a 5.5 gallon refugium. there's about 25lbs of liverock in there.
lighting: 6- 20W NO fluorescents (4 GE daylight, and 2 philips actinics). a 60W incandescent plantgrow bulb is used for the refugium
corals: mushrooms (purple tonga, green speckle, blue, red, orange), green button polyps, green star polyps, yellow polyps, clove polyps, colt coral, tree coral, green sinularia, xenia, anthelia, gold-crowned toadstool, common toadstool, hammer, frogspawn, red brain, plate coral, fox coral, trumpet coral.
fish: dwarf lion.
others: coral-banded shrimp, pink-and-black cuke, blue leg hermits (~20), snails(astrea, tubo, cerith, marguerita, and lots of nassarius)
additives: 8mls of b-ionic daily
