PJ's Aquarium Specs


Hardware: 55 gal acrylic, corner overflow, 10 gal sump,air driven Skimmer fed by a small PH, Hercules return pump about 600gph
2 PowerHeads in display tank currently running 24/7, 2 100wt heaters in sump, Plenum.

Lighting: 1 250wt 6500k iwasaki MH on 9hr/day, 2 95wt actinic 03 vho on 14hr/day

Hardscape: 4" to 5" of substrate above plenum, gives a look of 7" seabed . Substrate consists of a mix of crushed shell/coral, argonite and sand total about 130lbs
About 60lbs of live rock.

Fish: one 3" Kole Tang, one 3 1/2" Purple Tang, three Firefish,one Clown Goby, one royal gramma

Snails: seven astreas, five turbos, a Cerith ,a baby Strombus gigas( Queen Conch ) 8 or 9 Nassarius sp.
Corals:
One small Candy Cane(Caulastrea sp.)coral
,
One 4"colony Green Sea Mat(probably Protopalythoa sp.),
One small colony of Yellow polyps(Parazoanthus sp.)
Three medium colonies of Mushroom anemones( various sp.)
One 5" colony Star Polyps( Pachyclavularia sp.),
One Pterogorgia citrina(a yellow sea blade ,I prolly shoud not have bought)
one Open brain (Trachyphyllia geoffroyi most likely)
TwoFrog spawn(Euphyllia sp. One Fox coral(Nemenzophyllia turbida prolly)
Four 3" to 6"Leathers (one is prolly Sinularia sp. the others are Sarcophyton or Lobophyton, Alcyoniidae family is only thing I'm sure of.
an unknown species of Gorgonian
Misc. Inverts: one T. Deresa clam, one brown &white striped serpent star, one Red Brittle star, two different small hermit crabs, two hitchhiker crabs I have to catch & remove. A cleaner shrimp

Macro Algae: two types of Halimeda

Husbandry: I change about 5 gal water every couple of weeks, I dose Kalwasser apprx 2 liters a day, kent superbuffer-dkh couple of time a week. Kent two part calcium a couple times a week.

Lobophyton sp? (update) the bottom one is dying, it was stung by the Calastrea ( candy cane ) coral about two months ago.It has declined ever since, it is now completely colapsed and starting to decompose. Removal will occur on my next water change
