We have had Freshwater for many many years and always talked about how pretty the saltwater fish are. Plus, everytime we go to the LFS, our three year old keeps saying she wants NEMO !!!
Well, I have been looking at tanks for quite a while and just couldn't justify the expense...until...our LFS owner gave us a deal on a used tank from the restaraunt next door. After recieving the tank, my wife was a little dissappointed with its appearance....that didnt last long. One day later she was happy.
Our tank is 95-gallons. We used
crushed coral for the bed, two live rocks. The filter system is a simple Fluval 404. I have a mixed carbon bed inside it with noodles for biofilter.
We stocked our tank with 9 Damsels during the cycle, which took about 4 weeks. We lost only one Damsel and returned the other 8 to the store for credit. After the cycle we stocked our tank with 2 clowns, a Henny (which died in one day...store credit again), a cleaner shrimp, yellow tang, neon gobie, wrasser, a
feather duster, a cute little cowfish, and a snail. We lost one of the clowns and the henny and replaced them with another clown and a bi-color Angel.
