NooB

Greetings. My name is Derek and I just started (4 months ago) a 20 gallon reef/fish tank. I will try to list what I have so far, please excuse my lack of knowledge on proper terminology for some of my items, I am new to the hobby.

22 lb LR
Hanging filter
600 power head
Double T5 lighting strip

Livestock:
Watermelon Mushrooms( 8 or 9)
Red Mushrooms (6 or 7)
Open Brain (green and blue)
Green toadstool
Orange and blue florida ricordea( 1 )
Hairy green mushroom
Pineapple Coral
Green birdsnest

Clown Fish
Firefish Goby
Lawnmower Blennie
Bangai Cardinal
Sixline Wrasse
Peppermint Shrimp
Turbo snail (2)
Blue leg Hermit crab (4)
Sandsifting Star
Lettuce Nudibranch
Striped longspine urchin
Emerald Crab
Common featherdusters (1 large 2 small)

I think that's everything. Probably switching to 55 gal and use 20 gal as sump/refugium. Will post pics soon. I have found a great local shop (The Logical Reef), and Lee (the owner) has helped me tremendously.

welcome to TRT, looks like a good start but you will want to get a bigger tank imo b/c your 5 fish will be pushing it in a 20 once they grow. You do not mention a protein skimmer. THese are not absolutely neccasary but they sure make water quality easier to handle. Not sure if those lights are bright enough for those corals, seems like it might be a bit on the low side. Do you test your tank regularly for nitrates, ph, alk, salinity etc? good luck
