New 40 gal Tru Vu

Not sure the exact size, dimentions (36x15x16)/231=37.4
Just transfered my 20L last night.

Currently running CPR backpac and PS100 pacific coast parts needle wheele skimmer.

Trying a "new" method of substrate 50/50 (1/2 BB, 1/2 DSB)
in the back of the tank is a small undergravel plate with the base rock placed directly on it. Then I filled in 10lb live sand, live rock rubble, and finally my 25 lb cc for my 20L.

I plan on doing a hob overflow to a 10gal sump goinh through a filter sock.

Can I run carbon in the empty chamber of the CPR backpac?

I also have a Mag 350 can this be used to move the water from the sump?

pics will tank time...
