Need advice from frag masters....

We are setting up side by side 3 ...65 gal tanks drilled with overflows ( remnants from my lfs) the overflows will go to a 65 gal sump. Asking for suggestions for the size pump we will need. And my husband may already know this but how do we match the pump flow with the overflow. Tank closest to the sump will be for frags, next two for macro algae and snails. Any and all input appreciated! I will post a pic when I can dind the usb cord!

Are you going to have LR in the frag tank? If you are make sure to have it staggered so that you can place the frags at different heights to accommodate for different light needs of the frags. I've seen a few tanks with just the plastic grates for frags, if I had a spare tank that is what I would do. I would also recommend wavemakers, really helps the frags grow.

so you're going to use one return pump and split it three ways, right? for most systems, the return flow should be in the 4-6x display volume per hour, and then the rest of the flow should be from powerheads and other display-only water flow. So in your case, a ~1000gph pump (after head loss) split three ways should be adequate.
