My Three Tanks


180g AGA with corner overflows (anemone tank)
29g sump
Little Giant 3-MDQX-SC return pump.
Two 6100 Tunze Streams and One 6000 Tunze Stream on multicontroller in “sequential” mode
MarinaBoard bottom.
120 lbs Fiji live rock
EuroReef ES5-3 skimmer (modified to run wet)
AquaLogic Temperature Controller – activates 200-watt Ebo Jager heater at 77F and 9” Lakewood Fan at 80F
Kalkwasser topoff, controlled by LiterMeter III
Three PFO Mini Pendants with 250-watt 10,000K Ushio Bulbs (six hour photoperiod for each bulb, off and on times staggered for 10 hour total photoperiod)





120g AGA with offset megaflows (hard coral tank)
30g sump
Iwaki 55RLT return pump driving two eductors
Two 6100 Tunze Streams on a multicontroller on “interval 1”
MarinaBoard bottom
90 lbs Fiji and Tonga branch live rock
Precision Marine Bullet 3 skimmer driven by Iwaki 40RLT
AquaLogic Temperature Controller – activates 200-watt Ebo Jager heater at 77F and 9” Lakewood Fan at 80F
GEO 612 Calcium Reactor
Gravity-fed, very dilute kalkwasser topoff
Two PFO Mini Pendants with 250-watt 10,000K Ushio Bulbs (five-hour photoperiod for each bulb, off and on times staggered for 8 hour total photoperiod)





155g AGA bowfront with corner overflows (soft coral tank)
29g sump
Iwaki 30RLXT return pump
Two 6100 Tunze Stream on multicontroller on “interval 1”
Bare glass bottom
100 lbs Fiji live rock
EuroReef ES5-3 skimmer running relatively dry
AquaLogic Temperature Controller activates two 4” RadioShack fans in canopy at 79F – no heater
Gravity-fed kalkwasser topoff
Six 96-watt 10,000K Power Compact bulbs mounted in canopy (two bulbs on 12-hour-days, two bulbs on 8-hour days and two bulbs on 4-hour days)
