-Tank has only been running for two months.
-Coralline algae has just started to grow on the powerhead and few rocks.
-The xenia is placed near the bottom with moderate current adjacent to a large bubble coral. It used to extend quite long and browse against the bubble coral when it was moved back and forward by current.
-This tank has no
protein skimmer and no chemical filtration. The only filtration I have for this tank is a mechanical (sponge) which trap lots of brown stuff from the system. The sponge is clean regularly (every two days).
-I used to have
red slime algae problem before I put the snails in. Now all the rocks are clean and starting to be covered by purple alage.
-The only algae problem I had is the brownish and green algae that re-appear on the glass within 3-4 days after cleaning.
