My 55g Reef

Hey all i figured id put up some pics of my tank, its coming along quite nicely, mostly due to all the info ive learned here.

Its a 55 gallon, sumpless reef.

Im running 2 x 175w 14k MHs and 2 x 96w Actinic PCs.

I have 2 Maxi-jet 1200s on a wave maker and another just on constantly.

~80 lbs. of rock

Its been up and running for around 2 months and just recently put in some sps frags and other lps and a few softies. and everything is doing great so far, even have signs of growth on my sps.

PH - 8.2
Alk - 11.2
Cal - 520
Mag - 1280

Using Salifert test kits for everything.

Unfortunately my iphone takes better pictures than my $500 digi camera...so sorry for the not so great quality.

No i let it cycle for 2 months, the rock was already pre-cured but i still didnt want to take any chances. The corals only been in there for 1-2 weeks.

It costs a few bucks but id have to say its worth it, i picked up a 175w retrofit with ballast/socket/reflector and 14k bulb for $200 which is really not to bad. Im an electrician and even my prices on everything ended up around $160, so for a premade retrofit kit $200 wasnt bad.

Im actualy in the process of building a new stand that i can put a sump and refugium in, im just taking my time since im dreading the day its done and i have to transfer the tank =\
