The phosban and carbon loaded in my reactor seem to be working really well. I also added the DI filter to my RO setup so with some turkey baster maint and these additions my read algae will hopefully be a thing of the past.

OK so today the tank is moving to the basement. I have tried everything else.
Reasons I am moving it.
1) To control the indirect sunlight in our dining room (patio door, window, and light from living room windows
2) To replace the original sand that was in the tank when I got it from the previous owner on craigs list. This should help with phosphates
3) To take it to a more controlled temperature. We avoid running our AC so the day time temps up stairs exceed 80 at times. The basement stays much cooler.
4) It will look prettier in the basement home theater room since we can make it nice and dark.
5) So we don't hear it from our bed rooms when were sleeping.
6) If it ever has a catastrophic water failure it is at least on the bottom floor and about 10' from the sump under the basements pine wood floor.
I picked up 60lbs of black caribbean live sand and will rinse my live rock when transporting it from up stairs to down stairs (have to be careful most of my rock now has corals attached to them. I will keep their facing the same so the right side stays up.
I had removed my uv sterilizer a while back. I am putting it back in the system this time.

OK the move is done. I had used my cleaned out 30 gallon to stage the rock and fish in while the 55g was cleaned up and moved. I like the new black sand and I got most of my rock back the way it was up stairs. Now to keep doing some real frequent water changes and keep an eye on things in case there was some die off.

I will get some pics tonight. The tank was pretty cloudy when I went to bed last night and I was whooped.

I got some new pics tonight. I just snapped these with the digicam without getting the tripod out. I did a 5 gallon water change this evening and fed them. They devoured the cube of mysis. It's kinda funny watching the fish get used to surfing the power head currents. I think they got used to the old way. This week I will keep testing and water changing in case there is some die off in the rock and this new sand changes/starts. This rock is all estabolished and was just swished off in the buckets doing the move. They left a lot of crap in the bucket when it was all said and done. Hopefully not that I am running my uv again it will help with the algae.

Still wanting a larger tank for my Tang
The clown is still pissed his rocks got moved around.
another shot

Not sure what you mean there. I do have a canister with pump that I put carbon and phosban like product in but have not ran that for a while. Looking at the tank today it looks awesome so far. I think some more picking away at the hair I do find, turkey basting the rock and water changing will help.
