My 50g breeder.

I have been in saltwater for about 5 years, and have had great luck with it all. My name is Eric and this is what I have now.

I am currently running a 50 gallon breeder with a 4 bulb T5 lighting on it. I have two maxijet 1200's and a 900 for water flow. I do not run any external filtration or skimmer on this tank at all. I have around 100 lbs of live rock, with 1 bangii cardinal, 2 fire shrimp, 2 cleaner shrimp, 2 sexy shrimp, 1 emerald crab, 1 strawberry crab, and 1 purple reef lobster. I focus mainly on zoanthids, ricordias, and acan's. I also have a large rose, and green bubble tip aneneome. I do not dose anything into this tank, and I do keep up on my water changes. I have had this tank up and running for almost 5 months this way and everything is growing like a weed. I am also setting up a little 5 gallon nano tank, just out of boredom, and the tank was sitting in the corner mocking me!!!

Any questions feel free to ask

I am thinking of just doing a pistol shrimp and goby, maybe a clown goby also. I will try to move the sexy shrimp into the tank as well. I just got the live rock into this tank on saturday and put a test frag in there, and then I left the window open and caused a drastic temp drop, so I then went to by a heater. Once the frag opens up, more will go into that tank as far as corals.

Thank you. I downsized from a 75 gallon tank to the 50 gallon to focus on the corals that I am interested in, like ricordia, zoanthids, and acan's. I never figured I would run out of room as fast as I did, but I like the look of it.

Very nice! Love the colors. Do your shrimp ever get into it with each other? I have a Coral Banded and I'd like to get a Cleaner. Looks good!

Thanks. I have not had much of an issue. The fire shrimp hang out over by the ricordea's, and the cleaner shrimp hang out on the other side of the tank, and the sexies hang out by the anenome.
