My 100 gal
100 Gallon Glass, 2” live sand, approx 140 lbs LR combination of Haitian, Tonga, and DIY Agracrete,
Sump is an old CPR wet/ dry with the bio bale removed, and a 100-micron sock adapted along with some LR.
30 Gal DIY Acrylic refugium with Chateo, Caulerpa prolifera macro algae, 4 inches of miracle mud / live sand mixture,
Lighting for fuge is a DIY fixture with two 24” 20w plant grow bulbs overdriven to 40 watts.
Fuge lighting is opposite from the tank lighting by using a Coralife day and night timer.
Tank Lighting: Diy oak canopy with two 250 Watt 14000K halides, two 110 watt URI 48” VHO’s, one 03 actinic and one actinic white. Also a DIY moon light setup I made from 4 12mm blue LED’s, I added two 3” 110V fans that blow straight down on the water surface to keep things cooler under the hood.
Chiller is a DIY I made from an old water cooler, some foam insulation and a power head.
Circulation is by 3 Rio 1700 Power heads controlled by a wave master pro.
Skimmer is an older acrylic reverse flow, with wood air stones powered by a nebulizer. Not sure of the brand but it’s about 4’ and really pumps the foam.
I have an 40 watt Aquanetics UV sterilizer that I keep plumbed in but I have only used it for a couple weeks one time for Ick, but it’s there if I need it, just flick a switch and turn a couple knobs.
Top off is handled by using a 30 gallon plastic barrel, a small power head, and a DIY switch
Relay setup that is in the sump.

1 Yellow Tang, 1 Foxface, 1 Tomato Clown, 1 Lawnmower Blenny, 1 Canary Blenny, 1 six line wrasse, 2 pearly jawfish, 1 Three Striped Damsel, 1 firefish goby, and 1 red spotted hawkfish.
1 large condy anemone, 1 neon green tube anemone, 4 assorted rock anemones.
1 green branching frogspawn, some colt coral both white and brown, large green star polyp colony, asst. mushrooms, yellow polyp colony, 2 large feather dusters,
I have 6 turbo snails, and approx 80 small snails various types, and some small hermits for cleanup, there are 4 brittle stars, a couple sand sifting stars, and all kinds of little critters that I have no idea what they are, came with the rock.
