You might have to move some stuff around some,I have had to and only have 25x rate, some corals just dont open up good if hit to hard,I have actually blown tissue off of an SPS with a poorly placed powerhead.

Thanks Casey i really appreciate your input, was it the flow of water that blew tissue off your coral or it being blown against a rock?

I look at my aquascaping and i'm worried that in the flow a softie that i want to keep will possibly rub against a rock, i guess this is a problem?

Matt

EDIT - Spelling!

The pressure blew the tissue off not a rock, with LPS you will have to be careful.

I'm a bit worried now that i've over cooked it with the flow

I'm new to this hobby and still do not know the difference between sps and lps? my plan when i started was to keep a pair of clowns,an algae blenny and either a royal gramma basslet or a bicolor psuedochromis, also a few of the ' easier' type of soft corals

In your obvious knowledge Casey do you think theres tooo much flow??

Well the rockwork will block some of the flow,I still think you will be ok if the sand is staying put.To bad you dont have a pic of the water surface or a little movie of the current flowing.

I've been trying for over an hour to upload a movie somewhere but can't, i'm still not defeted so don't worry!!! heres a pic of the surface movement

Theres a 264usg pump aimed at the surface so this is not because of the tank turnover!!
