LED's or actinic's

Hello all, my first post on this site. Even tho my tank isnt set up yet it is a 90 gal i have 2 MH 250watt 12kbulbs. They seem to have a nice soft blue colour to them. My question is has anybody tried those LED's you can buy off Ebay or should i just get the actinic's and if so what would you suggest. Im really just looking for idea's on lighting. Keep in mind this is my first SW tank ever and it's not even setup yet. Im building a house and it wont be finished for another couple of months.

Welcome to TRT!!

If you use enough leds you should see an increase in blue coloration and you could probably forgo the actinics.

Depends on how blue you like the tank.

thanks for the input everyone. My next question is, has anybody bought the LED lights off of ebay, if so would you reccomend them or not?

I think i will try and run 1 actinic during the day with my hallides and some LED's at night. Thats what i will try to work towards anyway. Have to make some room in my canopy i guess. Should i put the actinics in the front of my hallides and the LED's in the back or vice versa. Any thoughts?
