JC8745 Saltwater Jump

A quick hello to everyone,

Our setup, Purchased 8/13/2006 (used, established)

55 gal 48" wide with stand and canopy
40 Watt vho 36" wide
Unknown Wet/Dry its about the size of a 10 gal
Refugium with protien skimmer (unknown brand)
Live sand and rock
We have several hermit crabs, blue legs on them, about 7 or 8
We also have several snails, probably 5 or 6
3 green chromis
Small patch of coral
1 white and purple anenome
2 tree sponges (a red and a orange)

So now a breif history,
I'm thinking a few people will know or relate to this path.
I started with fresh water a few years ago, i currently have 150 with south american cichlids, specifically harder to come by sa cichlids is my interest. Festae (True Red Terror's) are my favorite, I currently have a male, and i am working on getting a female for breeding pair. Keeping my male company for now is a mayan cichlid, flower horn Rhino Pleco and a Birchir S.

I have a 55 with a female red devil. Very interesting fish, with tons of attitude

Also a 30 with some angels.

With each purchase towards these tanks and fish, came promises to my wife about starting a saltwater tank. So we started reading and learning about reef tanks and what all is involved. We were basically on hold until we could afford everything we would need. So one day i came aross this setup on ebay. It was perfect, we got a chance to jump start things before going out and sinking a great deal of money into our dream aquarium which will be a 125 reef tank. Of course bonus for me, cause we picked it up on our aniversary.

I dont know how to post pics on this website, but i will try. I need to take some better pics, now that my fish room is a little better organized, Also i will take some pics of the wetdry and refugium and post them tonight.
