I have decided to drill the bottom and not the back. Based on the fact that I will be drilling (2) - 1 1/2" drain holes centered in the back of the tank. Idealy where should I position the center point of the (2) holes. Specifically how far off the back wall and how far apart should the (2) be separated. Keep in mind I will be using (2) durso stand pipes using 1 1/2" pipe and fittings. I do not have the bulkheads yet and I'm not sure of the actual dimensions, thus I'm not sure how far apart I should space them apart.

I welcome any feedback or advise.

Seaheard.. have you checked to see if the bottom of the tank is tempered? I would be weary of drilling the bottom personally. IF it were me... I would do a Calfo style overflow, much better surface skimming and less obtrusive than a typical style overflow. Oh, and as far as where to drill the holes... drill the holes no closer to an edge that the diameter of the hole. IE if you are drilling a 1.5" hole, don't drill it any closer than 1.5" away from the edge of the glass.
