Hiyas! 180, 125 & 55

Hello! Happy to have found this place and pleased to meet ya'll.
We actually have 3 SW tanks in the house. Either we're in love with SW or we're a glutten haven't actually figured it out yet.

The 180 is mine..all mine...lol... It is still very much a work in progress. It has been set up since August '06. Hubby & I went to the ocean and got the water to fill the tank, what a chore that was. Tank is set up to be 3 sided though I originally ordered a tank with the overflow on one end, I ended up with corner overflows which is better in the long run I think. I have a Rio 32HF pump & coralife 220 skimmer in the sump. A 900 Maxi-jet Powerhead. There is about 100lbs.+ live rock so far (this includes what used to be 20lbs. base rock & now it's covered in critters). 150lbs. or so of live sand. Fishies & things consist of (1) Naso Tang, (1) Sailfin Tang, (1) Maroon Clown who lives in the long tentacled anemone (approx. 10-12" wide when fully opened), (2) small bubbletip anemones, (2) Clarkii Clowns, (2) Chromis, (2) Yellow Damsels, (1) Orange spotted Goby & his pistol shrimp buddy (pistol shrimp hitchhiked on a piece of LR), (1) Bi-color Blenny, (2) Scooters, (1) Peppermint Shrimp, (1) Cleaner Shrimp, (2) Xenia Corals (1 is a white pompom. They are the newest additions), (5 or so) Nassarius Snails, (10ish) Mexican & Black Turbos (I know I need more), (??) Blue Leg Hermits & Zebra Hermits, (1) Mystery Crab that hasn't come out far enough to see yet (baby), there is also lots and lots of fans & tube worms everywhere, bristle worms, baby snails. Lightage is (4) 6' VHOs, plans on adding another set.

Am purchasing a RO unit within the next couple of days, as after all that fun work of getting the water from the ocean I had to add water out of the tap to refill and the stuff you put in the water to make it safe apparently doesn't keep the grass (green algae) from growing like crazy. Stupid move on my part.
Am wanting to learn more about corals, particularly the soft corals.

The 125 gallon is my hubby's, he got that when I got the bigger one. He has a FOWLR. He wanted aggresive fish. He's got a MagDrive pump, Coralife 125 skimmer, 2 6' VHOs. Not much live rock in his tank, 30lbs. maybe, 120lbs. live sand. Fishies - (1) Volitan Lionfish, (1) Niger Trigger, (1) Bluechin Trigger, (1) Puffer, (1) Foxface, (1) Koran Angel & (1) large zebra hermit.

There is still by far so much yet to learn about this hobby. Keeps it exciting. Many questions, but I will leave those for another forum.

Then his brother actually owns the third tank which is 55 gallon reef tank (a work in progress too). 30lbs. live rock maybe, 60lbs. live sand, (1) mean 3 stripe damsel, (1) Hawaiian Tang. (2) Peppermint shrimp. (3-4) small bubbletip anemones.

Nice to meet ya'll. Have a good one!
