Tank “Wish List” and “Master Plan” (Subject to change of course)
Corals
I imagine an “underwater garden” of corals with bright vivid colors and varied textures. I’m especially fond of the LPS corals for their texture and the way they fluoresce under actinic lighting. Some of the corals on my “wish list” include the Hammer (esp. an unusual color morph), Candycane, Torch, and Pineapple corals. I also like the bright coloration that some of the SPS corals have, and the Pink Birdsnest and Purple Tipped Acropora (the one that looks iridescent) are also on the “list”. I also like the brightly colored Mushrooms, Green Star Polyps, and Zooanthids. Even though not as brightly colored, I like the way that leather corals sway in the “breeze”
Fish
The fish I imagine living in my tank are small, very colorful, and “reef-safe”.
I’d like to get a few more blue-green chromis so that they can swim around in the tank as a school. Some of the other fish I that like are the Basslets, such as the Royal Gramma, Blackcap Basslet, and Swissguard Basslet, and some of the colorful reef-safe wrasses. Of course, I’d like to have a Clownfish and a Rose Bubble-Tip Host Anemone. I’d also like to have a Copperband Butterflyfish and a Flame Angel, as I think they are both really cool-looking fish. I realize that they both have compatibility issues with certain types of corals though. I’d also like to get a yellow tang, but I am debating whether I should or not based on the size of my tank.
Inverts
I really like the clams, as they are some of the most colorful inhabitants in a reef tank! Inverts like Feather Dusters, Cleaner Shrimp, and Fighting Conchs also come to mind.
Feel free to post or PM any feedback that comes to mind, no matter how big or small. Thanks for stopping by!
