Gilraen Took's nano

10 gallon glass tank.

1 HOB filter: Aquaclear 300. Does 150 GPH. Turned into fuge. ATM has caulerpa, will be replaced(hopefully this weekend) with chaeto.

1 powerhead: powersweep 214. Moves up to 160 GPH.

1 65 watt power compact retrofit kit. Made by smartlite(bought out by orbit??????) w/ 50/50 bulb by same company

11 lbs LR. Possibly going to look for a bit more, possibly not.

1-2" deep argonite sand bed.

50 watt heater

reef crystals

Livestock:
current: 2 heads of anthelia
planned: nerite snails, cerith snails, nassarius snails. Possibly a couple of scarlet hermits(not entirely sure yet) 1 ocellaris clown fish(NOT named Nemo ) 1 green clown goby(like the citron's colour better, but figure the green'll stand out more against the orange clown...) GSPs, tons of zooanthids, GS mushrooms, possibly purple mushrooms, possibly a candy cane, maybe a ricordea or two.

Sorta. Gilraen is Aragorn's mother's name. It means wandering star, which is what my elfish name is(don't ask, don't even know how I got it) and my real life nickname is Pippin. Sooo, put the first part with Pip's last name and I come up with a user name :P

Meh I like it inside.

Anyway, thought I'd do an update.

Livestock:
3 nerite snails
3 nassarius snails
2 blue leg hermits
1 ocellaris clown
2 big heads of anthellia/3+ small polyps
a few frags of different varieties of zoos.

Everything looks happy, the clown has been in there for a week, is eating/begging well, everything but the nas. and anthellia was added this afternoon. Most of the zoos are open already. The only ones that haven't tried to open up are some of the ones that were on a rock with my majano(got him in his own tank) I THINK they're reddish, but I'm not sure.

Oohhh, I should probably update this:

Tank is a standard 20 gallon. It's currently got 65 watts of PC 50/50 lighting on it, though I am sorta looking for a second fixture for it too. Has the same powersweep and AC filter, and another large AC filter now too. This one moves 200 GPH.

I used a bit more sand for the bottom, but it isn't at all evened out. There's a bit of a hill of sand along the bottom that won't likely get spread out for a while. I'm also looking for a nice piece of rock to put into the tank on the side that doesn't have much since I could probably stand to bump the weight of it up to closer to 20 lbs.

Livestock:

2 ocellaris clowns, soon to be(hopefully) a lineatus blenny as well.

I've got 2 blue leg hermits, 3 nassarius, and I don't know how many nerites or ceriths. At least 3-4 of each.

For the corals:
Soft: I've still got my anthelia. Now around 20 polyps(wow!) Also 2 different FL rics, and 2 yuma rics(the latter doing okay now that my original 2 didn't live and I figured out where in the tank they want to be more ) plus a GS mushroom and a purple mushroom. I've also got a few polys of clove polyp coral(akward phrase>_>) that are neat. They're plain old softie pink with green centers Also, I've got around. . . I want to say about 13 different colours of zoa polyps. Maybe?

LPS: I've got a half bleached lobophylia(variety unknown) brain, good sized one at that, a pagoda frag that I'm not sure is going to make it( ) 3 heads of blastomussa merletti, a bit of euphilia(sp? ) skeleton that I'm pretty sure is regenerating itself, 2 1/2 heads of candy cane, and 2 polyps of pipe organ.

I've also got a nice yellow sponge, which seems to be sharing space peacefully with a tiny anemone. I still don't know what it is, though it is probably an aip. Hm. It's been there for at least a few weeks and hasn't done anything except move to under a rock into the sponge, now it's in the open a bit more but it hasn't moved any. So I'm going to just keep letting it be for now. And I have a lot of pods and a few bristle worms that hiked along on my rockwork. And a ton of feather dusters. I've also got a bit of a blue and a bit of a white-ish/grey-ish sponge that are on one of my rocks. Plus a little bi-valve of some sort that still seems to be alive that hitchhiked in ON my BRAIN. *shrugs* It's moved down out of the light a bit, and is just kinda hanging out on its skeleton.

Also, once I get a bit more money I'll probably look into figuring out how to make my old 10 gallon into a refugium for the tank. Somewhere to put my chaeto so it isn't a big blob in the tank :P
