I recently got a zoa frag and a large kenya tree frag from Rhinokio's tank as well as a green open brain, some green striped mushrooms and a fire shrimp! No pictures since my camera's batteries died.

I also just replaced the stock fans with these
The new fans are great, they are quieter than the pump. They are a little taller than the stock fans so I had to pick up some #6 x 1 1/4" screws and the heat shield had to get bent a little when I put it back on but everything seems to be working fine.

My chaetomorpha has about doubled in size since I got it, between that and the bag of chemipure I'm running, the nitrates have stayed at zero, awesome!

Bad news is one of my Blenny's died maybe two blennys were too much for a 29 gallon?

I also had to kill a zoa eating nudibranch, I felt really bad about it because it looked really cool. It had a purple body with bright green tentacles on it's back, which explains why my purple body with green tentacles zoas where looking so unhealthy.

I have some bad news and good news:
since my last post the other blenny died, I learned my lesson and will only stock with fish that aren't picky eaters.

I also started to slip on water changes so I started getting alot of purple slime in the tank and my poor clown fish got cloudy eyes and tail rot

The good news is I installed a Tunz NanoDoc skimmer and did weekly water changes, after a few weeks the clown fish has made a 100% recovery!

Right now my tank still doesn't look too hot, the slime is a real problem still and my zoas never looked too healthy so I'm going to start a regiment of fresh water dips on them this weekend. If anyone has tips on getting rid of the slime, please let me know.

Yeah! I did some reading around and I'm going to do a 3 day black to try and kill the slime.

I wanted to do the 4x36 lighting upgrade to my hood but I was always worried about rushing it because I thought the tank absolutely needed the lights but now it looks like I can kill two birds with one stone.

update: actually, since I'm a glutton for punishment I think I'll build some rock lifts and replace the sandbed! Maybe even mod the hood to run 120mm fans (ok, that might be crazy talk)
