First reef tank
This is my first salt water set up. I have a 90 gal tank with 2 150w metal halides and 4 T5's, Bermuda 3 skimmer, 57w UV, 1/6 hp chiller, Phosban reactor and an ATO. I have 1 yellow tang, 1 foxface, 1 swallowtail angel, 1 small bellus angel, 1 mystery wrasse, 2 true perculas, 2 bangai cardinals and a mandarin dragonet. Also 2 scarlet cleaners, 2 fire red shrimp, 1 banded coral shrimp, 1 pencil urchin, 2 serpent stars, 1 tiger cuke, and 1 fighting conch. I have an assortment of corals from zoas to sps. My tank has been running for about 8 months and I've made quite a few mistakes. I'm hoping this site can help me out.

That is a nice looking setup, but what is up with the huge sand dune on the right hand side of the tank?

Ditto on Welcome!!
We all have made errors starting saltwater systems, this site and the people on it are here to help not flame.
Does the mandarin eat frozen or pellets??
If not you may need to supplement with live copoepods.

Welcome to TRT... The tank looks great! I wish my first tank looked that good.
Come to think of it, I kind of wish any of my tanks would have looked that good

The sand dune is from my orangespotted shrimp goby who loves to make messes. My mandarin seems to go for the pellets plus there are pods in the tank, I,ve had him for over three months so I guess he's eating well.

Thanks for the info about the Goby causing the sand dune. I wasn't trying to be critical, I was just curious about it as it definitely stood out a little.

At least you know your sand bed is being stirred up very well.
