finally finished my 160 gal setup, now for the corals..!!


6ft tank 72 x 27 x 23 front to back
4ft sump 48 x 12 x 12
2x ocean runner 3500 pumps
1x powerhead (forgot what model)
1x reefmaster skimmer
1x ultra violet light in sump (all flow into tank via u/v)
lots of bio balls (dont want to count)
150 kg live rock (pacific storm rock) lbs? not sure
carribean aragonite sand
1x arcadia lighting unit 2x 58watt flourescents 3x250watt halides
1x bank manager always sending me letters


3 blue damsels
3 green chromis
1x mandarin (somewhere)
1x female hawiian boxfish
1x yellow goby
1x white goby who destroys my tank
some other fish i dont know the names of (small)
1x zebra moray
some very large red legged hermits
a few zebra hermits
1x urchin (likes to collect large hermits and show them off)


50lbs of algea (various coulours) help!!!



well its been nearly a year in the making and many sleepless nights but i've finally got the look i've wanted. Though i still havent fully got to grips with brown algea on the rock but i'm sure you guys can help me with that...
i dont know how much rock is in here but lets just say i could have bought a new motorbike which i have been dreaming of for years instead and still had change...lol
so the next stage for this project is the corals. this is my 1st attempt at marine keeping and pictures like this make it worthwhile....
hope to speak to you all soon with some more adventures of throwing money away into a big glass box..

I must be mad.!!!!
