FeatherDuster help!!!!

well today I woke up and saw a featherduster covering some polyps on my zoo rock. Could this be whats causing the problems with the polyps openening, and the white stuff I found on it yesterday?

well my sis took the wormlike thing into an aquarium. Seems like it was a bad worm and not a featherduster and the guy said it eats at the "root" of zoos so that explains my zoo rock problem lol. And when I got home from work my mom had bought me a cool looking coco worm and put it in my tank. There filter feeders correct?
