DAN's tanks


The first is a 72G bow almost 7yrs old Dec 2001
Lighting 3 x 55w PC and 1 40w 03 NO
Plenium and larg refugium with DSB no skimmer
80lbs of LR bottom aragonite

Yellow Polyps

Green stripe shrooms
Xenia
Yellow fire coral
Ricordia shrooms
Green polyps
Green star polyps
Button polyps

Royal Gramma
Six line
Yellow tang
Dispair
Fire scallop
Fire shrimp
Feather duster

The second is a 125G over 3 yrs old Dec 2001
Lighting 4 x 96w PC and 2 30w 03 NO's
DSB and larg refugium with DSB no skimmer
110lbs of LR bottom aragonite

Young coral
Green candy coral
Spotted shrooms
Green hydro
Xenia
Yellow polyps
Purple mantipora digitata
Green star polyps
Birds nest
Sea matt
Button polyps
Curly-Q

Sorry, a digital camera is on my list of things to get one of these days. The 72g has been up for 7yrs, but only the last 4 1/2 have been bliss, the first 2 1/2 were a little up and down (my learning years).

I do believe that a good larg well designed and stocked refugium can be one of the most important things you can have (nutreint export, secondary food source for corals, increased PH and over all tank stability). It's a far better than a skimmer.
