This pulsing Zenia started out as 2 "stalks" and is in the process of splitting on it's own. You can't really tell from the pic but it looks like it will split into a total of 4-5 "stalks". The 2 obvious ones, the back lower one looks to be splitting into 2 pieces and the front piece has a small pulsing hand near the base that looks like it is going to split off on it's own as well. We'll see what happens. Yes it normally pulses very nicely but I shut off the lights for a few minutes before these pics to show the splits better.

This brain coral was a hitchhiker on a piece of LR. It's in the 55 G tank.

Pics of the plenum.

I added the high piece to the one side so that the lower water return on the corner overflow would not get blocked. I then added 2" of 1-5mm substrate (pure arragonite) over the plenum then a second piece of screening and then another 2"-3" of 1-5mm substrate over that. The area in front of the overflow has substrate layered as deep as the bottom of the lower drain openings on the corner overflow (approx 2"-3" deep). The first pic is the plenum before it was covered in screening.

The plenum is approximately 1"- 1 1/2" deep and is made of eggcrate light diffuser. This pic is after it was covered in the screening. I used plastic zip ties to fasten the screening to the plenum.

this last pic is a close up showing the high side where the plenum sits in front of the corner overflow. There is only screening on the back side of the "wall" so that the eggcrate would get filled with substrate on the high piece. The "wall" extends from one side of the tank to the other so that the substrate is 4"-5" deep everywhere except directly in front of the corner overflow.
