I have just converted from a 55g FOWLR to a 180g reef. 6'x2'x2' I have 100lbs live (encrusted) rock w/ a 2" sandbed. (more rock to come)
Current inhabitants include:
1 Flame angel (centropyge loriculus)
1 Mulitcolor angel (centropyge multicolor)
1 Scopas Tang (zebrasoma scopas)
1 Christmas goby (sp?? similar to cryptocentrus)
1 Peach blenny (ecsenius sp)
1 Pacific cleaner shrimp (
lysmata amboinensis)
1
Sally lightfoot crab (percnon gibbesi)
I use a wet/dry sump/refugium (40g Long) filtration system w/ 2 wet/dry boxes (DLS fiber), a 6" sandbed, and grape caulerpa w/ 12 hour reverse daylight lighting. There is a 13"H acrylic wall in place 14" from the end to act as an overflow reservoir. In the overflow, I have 2 Rio 3100 return pumps, a rio 800 running a 25W aquanetics UV, and a berlin skimmer w/ a rio 2500.
I am using 3 175w MH, w/ German 6500K bulbs, and 2 6', 160w URI actinics for dawn/dusk effect.
Waiting for the mini-cycle befor attempting to add anything else.
