Capt Sammys 120

Glad you stopped by to check out my new baby. Running 2 Hellolights 250w Metal Halide ballasts, no actinics, on a 120 g Oceanic RR tank, 20 inch water column after DSB installed, with 40g breeder tank converted to sump/refugium below. Tank has been up for about a month, 90% of the rock is Marshall Island I bought mail order for 2 bucks a pound. The rock comes VERY well cured, but devoid of coraline algae, but its growing in quick. First time taking shots with my digital, but using a Canon D30 and a telephoto lense for the shots, need to pick up a lense more appropriate for macro shots. The radiums are supposed to burn even less blue after a burn-in of about a week or two, but I dont think I need less blue. Looks great to my eyes, plenty bright, and AWESOME color floresence. There are colors popping now I didnt see in the corals before, even in the LFS where I purchased most of them (Imagine Ocean). IMHO these bulbs ROCK!

Purple Tang, I hope these shots give an idea of what the 20k Radium does to pull different colors out.
