Thanks.
I was worried about that much light too.
500 watts (5.4 wt per gal.). 
But, the tank is ~24" tall. I think that helps a lot.

wow! 8 months!! nice work! what are you feeding them? caviar?! i agree on the acans like zoo's just way cooler.. im not a zoa fan!! but ill LOVE me some acans! my husband will love to hear that.. he would say... "of course!!! you do!!! they like 100 bucks a polyp!" HAHAHA just a (little) exaggeration.. but you know what i mean!

I know... the Aussie's are outrageous.
I don't feed them anything. I feed the fish a homemade mush (cod, oysters, shrimp, a little bit of selcon, nori and RO water), then every other night or every third night, I add Selcon to the tank. I used to add that frozen plankton, or cyclopeeze, but I ran out of both.
I also keep up with my water changes. I do 8 gallons a week. So, a little less than 10%. I know it "should" be more, but, this seems to work for me.

Hi, Scott boy your tank is looking nice! I have an acan frag from http://pacificeastaquaculture.com and I love it.. the colors on acan's are so unique. I want to get one that has some red in it. Yours is very nice, and good growth in such a short time.
