Well, I am tired, but the draw of the reef world is keeping me awake. I don't go into the office on Fridays, so I can stay up all night! Let me go drink another Red Bull and I be ready to shell out more advice!

LOL

Well, I DO have to go in tomorrow but there isn't much going on at work, thankfully. I think having a night of not much to do really threw me off! I'm used to collapsing into bed from exhaustion!

Is 39 old these days? I forget. lol
Let's see, I will be 42 next month and have a 6 year old son and there are plenty of days when I feel very old.

I have been so busy keeping up with all of your threads...I forgot I had something going on here.

Scott, we bought a used 55 gallon from the LFS. I'll be storing it in the garage until we move...here is the great thing. Right now, if this tank should break during the move...total cost replacement. One of the 20s will be used as a frag/QT tank for corals. I have been fortunate thus far with that, but knowing what I know now, and some of the things I want, I want to minimize the possible tears shed if something comes with a nasty. The other 20 will be the new sump, although, I would rather have a 30. My husband wants to do a partial minimalist DT, there was a short article in Aquarium Fish International months back. So a good chunk of LR would be in the sump (I think I can sell him on a 30...sure wish I had enough room for a 40 gallon breeder...those make nice sumps, too). I told the hubby that was cool as long as his design can accomodate what I want.

I would love to go to Colorado if possible. I love the mountains, but my husband likes Maryland. He would be thrilled to get stuck at Aberdeen, it is his first choice! If I get back out there, I will be dropping by to visit with both you and Terry, Scott. Ice up the cooler!

Hi Becky!
I just moved from Maryland. Lived there from 1988-2007.
I lived in Owings Mills, Reisterstown and then Finksburg.
I was about 30 minutes from the Baltimore Harbor.
You will love the Harbor!
A bunch of us met there once for a club meeting. We got a special tour behind the scenes at the Aquarium. Remember that Booze?
Tanks look nice by the way!

I really like the your red open brain. How about a pic of the whole trachy!
Did ya figure I was trolling fish sites looking for men (that seems to work, I know)?

Terry...just an open brain. I have considered a scolymia as a possibilty for the 55, though.

The funniest thing is that there are probably a whole bunch of people on here who have no idea what any of this means. Sometimes growing old isn't really all that bad.
It was on the Muppets from Space soundtrack, a few of the youngins might get it.

Although, if I had to have a theme song it would be James Brown's Hot Pants.

Those Yashias... how big do they get? Are they jumpers?
When we first bought the yashia, it was smaller than the neons and they are a little over an inch long. In a few months, it has thickened up and grew almost an inch. I want to say they get up to 3 inches...this is me thinking off-hand. In a 20, fish are few and need to stay small. It does swim out mid tank, but is not as active doing so as a firefish would be...always close enough to the burrow to make a mad dash if necessary. Right now, I am just using egg crate and the only fish I have ever had jump ship was the run of the mill firefish, and it jumped when we had more of a lid set up. Really, I do not have anything acting aggressively, so it helps minimize the chances.

Before I lived in El Paso, we lived at Fort Belvoir until 2004, nestled nicely between Alexandria and Springfield, VA. I have been to the Harbor few few times...outstanding aquarium. I miss UNOS. lol
