amatuer's tank


basic specs
- 55 gallon standard rectangle that sits on wooden stand
- approximately 80-100 lbs live rock (honestly have no idea, bought it in pieces over several months, but it goes about 3/4 up the tank with alot of caves and wholes)
- substrate is a mix of live sand and crushed coral, app. 3-4''
- fluval 304 cannister filter (media consists of biorings, which i began removing to allow live rock to take over, kent nitrate remover (added recently to help w/ nitrates), and carbon)
- seaclone backpack skimmer (waste removal has been slim lately)
- 110W compact flourescent strip light
- standard actinic bulb

Bioload (too much, i know)
- yellow tail coriss wrasse, about 5'' (currently in hiding, but alive)
- 2 false percula clowns (both very small, one about 2'', other 1'')
- 2 damsels (trying but can't catch the quick lil buggers) about 2''
- 1 sand perch blenny, about 3''
- 1 scooter blenny, 1''
- 1 lawnmower blenny, 3''
- 1 green brittle star (very big and healthy)
- 15-20 snails and blue leg hermits (maybe less)
- 1 LTA (i think), about 12'' opened (alive for 6+ mos.)

Corals
- green striped mushroom rock
- blue mushroom rock
- brown std polyps
- sun polyps
- feather duster
